Notes:
Zofia Stryjenska was one of the most acclaimed Polish artists in the years between World War I and II. She was an accomplished painter, muralist, designer and graphic artist who also produced public commissions.

Stryjenska was loosely associated with several Polish art movements that embraced the idea of art for art's sake, while simultaneously being concerned with patriotism and nationalism. Many of her works were subtle reminders of the importance of Polish history and culture. She often incorporated national dress and local folklore in her depictions of religious scenes.

Stryjenska enjoyed artistic and critical success from 1912 until 1947, and was even called "Her Royal Highness, the Princess of Polish Painting" by the influential art critic Jerzy Warchalowski.
Most realised prices include the Buyer's Premium of 18-25%, but not the HST/GST Tax.
