Yvon Provost was born in 1935 in Montreal, Quebec. He studied at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Montreal from 1952 to 1957. He worked as a freelance graphic designer for 40 years and in 1976 he also founded an art school. He participates in symposiums around the Province and has taught the arts for 20 years, including the last 4 years at the Multifunctional Center of Boucherville for the Visual Arts Workshop of Boucherville. He has been a painter for 50 years. He is a member of the RAAV - Regroupement des Artistes en Arts Visuels.
