Acquired directly from the Artist in 1972 by the present Private Collection, Ontario
Notes:
Yevgeny Rukhin was an active dissident, exhibiting his art at a time when it was illegal to do so as an unofficial artist. He was arrested after the First Autumn Open-Air Exhibition in Moscow in 1974 and two years later died at the age of 32 in a mysterious fire at his Leningrad studio.
