Movchan was born in Kiev, where she received her MFA in 1995 from the Ukrainian Art Academy. She emigrated to Canada in 1997 and now lives and works in Halifax. This fund-raising effort for SickKids Foundation occurs in conjunction with a round-the-world flight piloted by Dave McElroy, which can be followed online at www.FlyRTW80.com.
