This painting was purchased directly from the artist by the father of the current Saskatchewan owner, while he was convalescing in Toronto following WW II and he became friends with the artist.
Notes:
William S, Stanley was born in 1872, and was a painter active in the 1920s-1940s, mostly in Ontario, but also Alberta, British Columbia and Quebec. He died in 1951.
