Tammi Campbell was born in 1974 in Calgary, Alberta, but grew up in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. She studied in Saskatoon at the University of Saskatchewan, receiving her Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1999 after studying under artists such as Tim Nowlin, Linda Duvall, and Janet Werner. Campbell's further art studies include workshops at Emma Lake, Saskatchewan with Chris Cran, Clay Ellis, and Monica Tapp. Campbell herself has led workshops at Saskatoon's Mendel Art Gallery. She has also worked at the Photographers' Gallery.
