SKNAC bio: Stephen Girard grew up in Eastend, Saskatchewan. He studied with Mel Bolen in the early 1970s, and had a studio in Calgary, Alberta in the 1980s. He then worked as a teacher and other pursuits, but after studying again in Regina, with renowned ceramics artist Jack Sures, Girard decided to set up a new studio, White Mud Clay, in his home town. There he has honed his skills and devoted himself to making functional ceramics influence in style and philosophy by Asian ceramics and the Japanese artist Soetsu Yanagi. Girard often creates his pottery from clay he has dug and refined himself from the valleys around Eastend, and experiments with different firing techniques and glaze recipes. Stephen Girard continues to live and work in Eastend, Saskatchewan.
Most realised prices include the Buyer's Premium of 18-25%, but not the HST/GST Tax.
