Shore Birds on Rocks, 1962 (1961 Dorset Series), stonecut, 23/50, 11.875 x 23.75 in, 30.2 x 60.3 cm
One wonders if Sheouak was depicting five different species of birds, or if she simply gave them five different personalities in this print. The image has the same whimsical quality as the artist's The Pot Spirits of 1960. This print was alternately titled Sea Birds on Rocks (info from Sandra Barz). Sheouak designed the famous abstract West Baffin Eskimo Co-op symbol.
