2015
Réjean Roy is a contemporary landscape artist based in Northern New Brunswick. In the Group of Seven tradition, Roy often explores remote wilderness locations within the Canadian landscape. His 2015 exhibition, Rivière Nahanni, was based on a canoeing trip of the remote river in the Northwest Territories. This trek was also the subject of a documentary by Radio-Canada Acadie.
Roy's technique is loose and gestural, with a thick application of paint. Roy is represented by the Roberts Gallery, Toronto, ON. His work is held in the New Brunswick Art Bank, the University of New Brunswick collection, and in private and corporate collections in Canada and internationally.
