Ruby Henderson Joseph was born in Campbell River on July 1, 1951. In 1990 Joseph began applying Kwakwaka'wakw designs to her ceramics. Her strong sense of design and color combinations was enhanced by the application of 24K liquid gold outlining to each design. She found success as both an artist and business woman, selling to art galleries around BC, and at private shows and festivals. Ruby Joseph passed away on July 23, 2009.
