ABOUT THE ARTIST

Rosamond Sheila Stokes Campbell (1919–2008) was a Canadian painter and illustrator. Born in Bareilly, India, she pursued her artistic education at the School of Fine Arts in North Adelaide and furthered her studies at the Regent Street Polytechnic in London. Upon completing her education, Campbell dedicated nine years to working as an illustrator across England and Europe. During her tenure in Italy, she met Canadian artist Ted Campbell; the couple married and relocated to Saint John, New Brunswick, in the 1950s. In her artistic practice, Campbell embraced both experimental approaches and realistic depictions, producing watercolour landscapes, semi-surrealist compositions, and abstract works. In the 1970s, she and her husband moved to San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, where she continued her creative endeavors until her passing.
Most realised prices include the Buyer's Premium of 18-25%, but not the HST/GST Tax.
