Ron Vermeiren was born in 1946 and grew up in Kingsville, Ontario. He is a self-taught painter and a great admirer of the Old Masters like Rembrandt and Rubens. His painting technique entails the application of 8-10 layers of paint to achieve a tranquil effect. He lives in Port Stanley, Ontario.
