Lot description - from the online catalogue*

Ron Ewenin-Wapemoose is a self-taught artist from the Cowessess First Nation, Regina, Saskatchewan. He was raised in Alberta by his grandmother, but she died when he was eight years old and he was placed in a residential school in Saskatchewan until the age of 16. After that he struggled with addiction and trouble with the law, and finding art played a key role in his return to sobriety and clarity. In a 2023 SK Arts interview Ewenin Wapemouse said that his art making began when he bought some art supplies on impulse and spent all night creating a painting. "I was so excited about what I created that I took it with me to a doctor's appointment I had the next morning and showed it to the doctor. He bought it. That was the first time I felt I had earned something." Ron Ewenin Wapemoose continues to live and work in Regina, Saskatchewan.
Most realised prices include the Buyer's Premium of 18-25%, but not the HST/GST Tax.
