Cenedella continued his formal education at The Art Students League of New York, where he studied under the German satirical painter George Grosz. In 1988, he took over the George Grosz Chair at The Art Students League, teaching courses from 1988 to 2020. Cenedella's works have been widely exhibited throughout the US and beyond, including at the Bagatelle (Paris), Saatchi & Saatchi (Yew York), Amnesty International Exhibition (New York), Galerie Am Scheunenviertel (Berlin). His life and art are the subject of the book The American Artist as Satirist, by M. Kay Flavell, and of the 2016 documentary Art Bastard, directed by Victor Kanefsky.
