Riffat Hussain was born in Jodhpur, India and immigrated to Canada in 1975. He was an engineer by profession, graduated from National Entertainment and Design, diploma from England MI structural London. He was a sitar Master and watercolorist who painted scenes from Saskatchewan, Canada and Kashmir. He passed away on 27, July 1997 in Regina, Saskatchewan.
