Rick McCarthy was born in Montreal, Quebec in 1941and currently lives in Toronto. He is a graduate of the Ontario College of Art in 1963, and has pursued post-graduate studies in printmaking. In 1965 he was responsible for the introduction of a printmaking program to the Inuit of Baker Lake, NWT. He has been an instructor in several colleges in Ontario, and his work can be found in private and public collections across Canada.
