Notes:
Richard Bishop was born in Syracuse, New York in 1887. His father was an avid hunter and imbued Bishop with a love of hunting and a wonder at the beauty and grace of waterfowl. He studied printmaking with renowned graphic artist Ernest Roth, but was largely self-taught. Richard Bishop died in 1975.
