Lot description - from the online catalogue*

Rajka Kupesic was born in Croatia and emigrated to Canada in 1977. She is a classically trained ballerina who has danced with the National Ballet of Croatia, the Munich Opera Ballet Company and the Toronto City Ballet, where she was principal dancer. He art gives evidence that she is finely attuned to movement and her larger-than-life figures seem to glide across the page in whimsical fashion. People and landscapes show rounded, flowing lines. Her paintings are exhibited in galleries across Canada, the United States, Europe and Asia. Her work is in the collections of the City of Toronto, the Art and History Museum (Zagreb, Croatia) and the National Postal Museum (Ottawa).
Most realised prices include the Buyer's Premium of 18-25%, but not the HST/GST Tax.
