From the University of Regina, President's Art Collection, Shumiatcher Donation. Collection of Dr. Morris C. Shumiatcher, O.C., S.O.M., Q.C. and Dr. Jacqui Clay Shumiatcher, O.C., S.O.M. Includes the original 1978 receipt from Tien Fook Jewellery Ltd, Hong Kong. This sculpture represents the Flying Horse of Gansu, also known as the Galloping Horse Treading on a Flying Swallow, based on a Chinese bronze sculpture from the 2nd century CE, discovered in 1969 in a tomb in Gansu.
Most realised prices include the Buyer's Premium of 18-25%, but not the HST/GST Tax.
