Paulett Sapergia was born in Old Wives, Saskatchewan (near Moose Jaw). She is a visual artist specializing in the depiction of Saskatchewan wildlife. In 2004 her design of a Western Meadowlark with grain elevators in the background was chosen by the Royal Canadian Mint for the province's commemorative centennial 25-cent coin.
