Provenance:
With The Abbey Framers, New Street, Penzance;
Sears, The Vincent Price Gallery, Inventory No. WGCON 31 to gallery label verso;
The Estate of Bryan Pearson, Iqaluit, First Mayor of Iqaluit, the Capitol of Nunavut
Literature:
M.J. Stone, "Special to The Globe and Mail", November 18, 2016, 'Iqualit Politician Bryan Pearson had 'quite a life' and quite a few jobs'
Notes:
Bryan Pearson's Inuktitut name to inhabitants of Frobisher Bay (later Iqaluit, Nunavut) was "Sedluk" or "Salluk" (the skinny one) and many Inuit called him that right up to the end. The local store he started (Arctic Ventures) is still known as "Sedluk's store" by many. He met the Queen several times.
The estate of Patrick Heron is preparing the forthcoming catalogue raisonné of the artist's work and would like to hear from owners of any works by Patrick Heron so that these can be included in this comprehensive catalogue. Please write to The Estate of Patrick Heron, c/o Modern British and Irish Art, Christie's, 8 King Street, St. James's, London, SW1Y 6QT.
