Includes a copy of 1981 receipt from Craddock and Barnard (London UK) stating that "The above are original artists' engravings over 100 years old". From the Gary Robertson Historical Print Collection (Regina). This piece is also in the collection of the National Portrait Gallery (London) and the Harvard Art Museums.
Notes:
Nicolas Pitau was born in Antwerp, Netherlands, in 1632. He trained with Nicholas Lauwers and Conrad Lauwers. In 1656 Pitau moved to Paris, where he died in 1671.
