Notes:
Nakano Kazuma was born in 1966 in Kanaya-cho, Japan. He graduated from Shimada High School and Kanagawa University. At the age of twenty-six he travelled to Denmark to study pottery at the Aarhus Art Academy. After returning to Japan, Kazuma worked as an assistant for a contemporary ceramic artist for one year, before becoming a full-time artist in Kanaya-cho. Kazuma has held solo exhibitions throughout Japan. In the early 2000s he collaborated with Saskatchewan ceramicist Rob Froese, and his works were included in the 2003 exhibition Wabi Sabi - An Exhibition of Contemporary Japanese Ceramics, at the Moose Jaw Museum and Art Gallery.
