Dark, pure shades of green, purple, red, and blue are interspersed among lighter squares of ecru, Persian orange, white, and primary yellow. Bleeding edges soften the painting's geometry, highlighting colour as both the work's principle concern and the artist's primary tool in creating form. This piece is a prime example of Ristvedt's sustained interest in cerebral, minimalist explorations of colour and form.
