Maxine Abraham spent her early childhood on an Alberta farm and ranch where she enjoyed working with horses and cattle and riding to school on her favourite horse. She also had a keen interest in drawing at a very early age. During her adult years she undertook further studies in the field of art from The Alberta College or Art in Calgary, Scottsdale Artists School in Arizona and various painting workshops. She is a member of "Interpretations Artists' Assoc." and is a life member of "The Calgary Sketch Club". paintings. Her work represents a large variety of mountain and prairie scenes and still life subjects. Common subjects are the working horse and the cowboy and their life on a typical ranch of the Canadian west.
