In a community dominated by male carvers known for their depictions of wildlife, talents such as Annie Michael and Mary Utye are often overlooked and underrated. These artists bring a female perspective, and with these large works, a powerful expression of Inuit womanhood and motherhood. Annie Michael was married to the carver Elijah Michael. In 1991 she was featured in an 11-minute documentary video entitled Annie produced by the Amway Environmental Foundation.
Most realised prices include the Buyer's Premium of 18-25%, but not the HST/GST Tax.
