Marlene Dyck was born and raised in southern Manitoba. She is mostly self-taught, aside from some training with Winnipeg potter Alvin Pauls, Dyck has exhibited her pottery in galleries gift shops in Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Ontario. She is a member of the Saskatchewan Craft Council. Marlene Dyck lives in Altona, Manitoba, where she operates a ceramics studio with her son Shaun Dyck.
