SKNAC bio: Marigold Sherstobitoff was born in 1934 in Regina, Saskatchewan. She began studying art making at the University of Saskatchewan (Saskatoon) in 1970, holding exhibitions of her work in 1973 and 1974, and graduating with a BFA with Distinction in 1974. Her key instructors at the University of Saskatchewan were Bill Epp (sculpture) and Stanley Day (painting and drawing). Following graduation, Sherstobitoff travelled widely as a student of art, and was much influenced by the works of British artist Henry Moore, American Isamu Noguchim, Helen Frankenthaler and Mark Rothko. Marigold Sherstobitoff resides in Regina, Saskatchewan.
