SKNAC bio: Margaret Galloway was born in Rochester, England, in 1915. She studied music at the University of London and the Royal College of Art (London), and taught music at University of Bristol until moving to Canada in 1961. She was Head of Creative Music, Department of Education, University of Toronto from 1963 to 1972. In 1977 and 1978, Galloway took art classes at the University of Saskatchewan (Saskatoon) with Otto Rogers and Stan Day, and later attended the 1987 and 1988 Emma Lake Summer Workshops, studying with Terry Atkinson, Harold Feist and Doug Haynes. Galloway held many solo exhibitions of her art, including Half-Acre Gallery (Orangeville, Ontario), Gallery One (Saskatoon), Gordon Snelgrove Art Gallery (Saskatoon), Collector's Choice (Saskatoon) and Wascana Place (Regina).
