Marcella Wheatley grew up in Scott, Saskatchewan. She studied drawing, oils and watercolors at the University of Saskatchewan (Saskatoon) and the University of Regina, with such notable artists as Otto Rogers, and Kay Bould. Wheatley was the founding president of the Aurora Artists Guild in Regina in 1982, and she is currently a member of the Moose Jaw Art Guild and the Bridge Artists Co-op. She has instructed at drawing and watercolour workshops with art clubs, schools and galleries throughout Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia, and currently lives in Cochrane, Alberta.
