Louis Doransky was born in Slovakia in 1943, and raised in Montreal, Quebec. He was mentored in painting by renowned Quebec artist Gabriel Filion. Exhibitions of his work were held at the Toronto Gallery of Fine Art (1969) and the Gerrard Art Space (Toronto, 2013). Louis Doransky died in 2020 in Thronhill, Ontario.
