From the series Shaping the New Forest, Part 2 The Portraits. Signed, titled and editioned verso, unframed. 18 x 22 inches. From the Briercrest College Art Collection. 90% of the hammer price goes to the Briercrest College Scholarship Fund.
Notes:
Lorraine Gilbert was born in France in 1955. She has produced and exhibited her photographs since 1978. She is best known for her series of photographs 'Shaping the New Forest' which documents the devastating impact of the forestry industry on the environment of British Columbia. She has been elected to the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts and was the first recipient of the Karsh Award for Photography.
