ARTIST STATEMENT
"Body and Soul: A mysterious Duality bound up in breathing and sighs."
The act of reparation, reconstitution, reorganization, and layering of materials is typical of my working process. In "Body and Soul", the process of cutting and weaving is used metaphorically to suggest not only the strength and interdependence between our body systems, but to also suggest the interconnectedness and shared humanity that is common to us all.
