Ward Gallery, London, Fifth Exhibition of British Lino-Cuts, June 1934, catalogue #12
Redfern Gallery, London, Colour Prints, July 12 - August 4, 1934, catalogue #32

Literature:
Stephen Coppel, Linocuts of the Machine Age, 1995, page 137, reproduced page 137 and in colour plate #24 with crimson (red version), catalogue #LT 36
Notes:
Coppel relates that Tschudi produced variations of this work and notes this exact print in the following comment: "A few colour variants within the edition exist: ed. 19/50, with purple for the 1st block; ed. 20/50 with purple, light brownish purple and reddish brown for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd blocks; ed. 21/50, with viridian and yellow ochre for the 1st and 2nd blocks.
When Redfern Gallery first showed this print in 1934, it asked Tschudi to 'let us have 2 or 3 more prints each of "Chinese Jugglers" & "Skiing" so as to have them in readiness for the sales we hope to make.'"
This is a fine impression with strong, bold colours on thin, off-white oriental laid paper.
