Laine Groeneweg is a Canadian printmaker based in Hamilton, Ontario, whose work bridges traditional techniques with contemporary storytelling. A master of intaglio processes such as mezzotint and etching, Groeneweg explores themes of wonder, transformation, and the surreal.

Groeneweg is the founder of Smokestack Studio, a leading print atelier in Hamilton, and his work has been exhibited internationally. His prints are held in private and public collections across Canada and abroad.

Consignor proceeds from the sale of this lot will benefit the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, with significant donations also being made to the Canadian Opera Company, the Glenbow Museum, the Israel Museum in Jerusalem, and the Pelee Island Bird Observatory.
Most realised prices include the Buyer's Premium of 18-25%, but not the HST/GST Tax.
