Saskatchewan NAC bio: Kathleen Bould was born in 1901 in Dumfries, Scotland, and came to Canada as an infant. She resided with her family near Blaine Lake, Saskatchewan from 1903 to 1920, then in Prince Albert from 1920 to 1947, and thereafter in Regina.��In the 1920s she studied painting with Ernest Lindner, in Prince Albert, then took art classes at the University of Regina in the 1950, with such instructors Kenneth Lochhead and Art McKay. She also attended the Banff School of Fine Arts several sessions, including studying with W.J. Phillips.��Bould also taught art classes at the Rosemont Art Gallery, Regina, and was a member of the Regina Federation of Artists.��Kay Bould exhibited her work frequently at Regina's Dunlop Art Gallery and the Rosemont Art Gallery, and participated in group shows at the MacKenzie Art Gallery (Regina) and the Mendel Art Gallery (Saskatoon).��Her work can be found in several private and public collections, including the Saskatchewan Arts Board, and the Canadian Pacific Railway Collection.��Kay Bould died in 1999.
