Ontario-born Judy Tryon studied ceramics in Saskatchewan, and by the early 1980s was teaching pottery classes for the City of Saskatoon. In 1994, she opened her own teaching studio, JT Pottery in Saskatoon, while also conducting workshops and visiting schools throughout Saskatchewan. Tryon produces hand built and wheel thrown functional ware, as well as one-of-a-kind work. She has exhibited nationally and internationally, received several awards and had her work used in publication.
