Notes:
Jose Ventura was born in El Salvador in 1955 and has painted for as long as he can remember. He worked several years at the National Museum of Anthropology in San Salvador and studied for many years in Mexico before emigrating to Canada. Here he continued with his art, inspired by his memories of his childhood and of his native land, and by the discovery of his new home. Always striving to express his artistic vision, Ventura works canvas, ceramic and glass. He currently lives in Gibson's, B.C.
