Provenance:
From the collection of Regina art collector Lyn Goldman. Being offered to benefit Creative Kids, with 90% of the winning bid going to this Saskatchewan charity.
Notes:
Born in St. John's, NL. and raised in Montreal, John Peet came to Regina, Sk. in 1977. In 1988 he volunteered at a women's pottery co-op in The Gambia, West Africa organized by CUSO. In 1994 John Peet received a BFA in ceramics from the University of Regina. From 1998 until 2016 he worked full time at the MacKenzie Art Gallery, Regina. Peet states, "As a craftsperson, primarily working in wheel thrown vessels and coming from a long ceramic tradition, I am concerned with form, surface, and function, having a strong connection with my materials."
