Two 18thC. hand-coloured ornithological engravings,

LA PETITE PERRUCHE A L'AILE ROUGE,
from Sammlung verschiedener ausländischer und seltener Vögel, 1749-1773.

Framed: 16 1/4" x 13 1/2" / 41.3cm x 34.3cm.
Johann Michael Seligmann was a Nürnberg publisher and engraver. He published some of the most splendid natural history works of his time such as Trew's 'Hortus Nitidissimis', Gessner's 'Opera botanica' and Schmidel's 'Erz Stüffen'.
