A meticulously rendered still life of fruit in a crystal bowl. Hunt places the light source at the upper left of the painting, so the light reflects off the surface of the table and through the facets of the glass bowl.
Joanne Hunt is a Nova Scotia-based artist working primarily in oil and watercolour. Like Mary Pratt's work, Hunt's paintings are highly realistic studies of the effects of light and atmosphere within everyday/domestic scenes.
