Provenance:
From the estate of Rick Harvey (1941-2021), professor in the English Department of the University of Regina for 40 years, whose art collection focused on Saskatchewan paintings and ceramics, often from artists he knew personally.
Notes:
Joan McNeil was born in Jonquiere Quebec in 1941. She studied architecture at the University of Manitoba, in Winnipeg, in the 1960, and received a Master of Fine Arts degree in ceramics from the University of Regina in 1982. McNeil was an instructor at the University of Calgary from 1987 to 1990, and her work was exhibited at many galleries in Western Canada, including the Mackenzie Art Gallery (Regina) and Dunlop Art Gallery (Regina).
