Includes a copy of 1977 receipt from Craddock and Barnard (London UK) stating that "The above are original artists' etchings over 100 years old". From the Gary Robertson Historical Print Collection (Regina). This piece is also in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art (New York) and the Musee D'Art et D'Histoire (Geneva).
Notes:
Jean-Jacques de Boissieu was born in 1736 in Lyon, France. He studied at the Ecole Gratuite de Dessin, in Lyon, and began making prints around 1758. Boisseau died in Lyon in 1810.
