Notes:
Bellefleur taught for twenty-five years before dedicating his time entirely to a working as an artist. Many of the works from 1977, the year in which this outstanding canvas, "Il a encore neigé" was conceived, were particularly inspired and the most lyrical vintage in his pictorial output. A number of horizontal lines are visible, rising and descending, and worked up by a palette knife. This allows the eye to read the work as as an aerial perspective that dissolves in the distant haze of the background.
