Notes:
Janet Macpherson received a BA in Philosophy for York University (Toronto) in 1997, then studied ceramics at Sheridan College (Oakville) before receiving an MFA Ceramics from Ohio State University (Columbus) in 2010. She has taught at Sheridan College, and was winner of the Winifred Shantz Award for Ceramics in 2013. Her work has been exhibited widely in Canada, including at the Slate Art Gallery (Regina), The Gardiner Museum of Ceramic Art (Toronto), The Sculpture Centre (Cleveland OH), Yukon Arts Center (Whitehorse) and the Mary E. Black Gallery (Halifax). Her work can be found in the permanent collections of the Gardner Museum of Ceramic Art and the Art Gallery of Burlington. Janet Macpherson lives and works in Hamilton, Ontario.
