Notes:
While the Artist was studying at the National Academy of Design in New York, he personally gave this painting to Ferdinand Písecký in 1917. Ferdinand Písecký was a WW1 legionary, writer and teacher working in the USA from 1917-1918 towards the establishment of independent Czechoslovakia. The painting had remained in the family of Ferdinand Písecký until its sale at a Czech auction house in 2013.
