Jackie Traverse is an Ojibway artist from the Lake St. Martin First Nation. She was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and studied Fine Arts at the University of Manitoba (Winnipeg), graduating in 2009. Traverse is a multi-disciplined artist who works in oil and acrylic paintings, sculpture and animation. She draws her inspiration from her indigenous culture and her experiences as a native woman living in Winnipeg.
