A number of important Canadian artworks in this auction were collected by Hugh Pryce-Jones. Pryce-Jones was an active member of the Toronto art scene in the 1960s and 1970s and served as the Director of Development for the expansion of the Art Gallery of Ontario in the early 1970s.
