Notes:
Jack Goldstein was born in Montreal, Quebec in 1945. His family moved to Los Angeles, California in the 1950s, and Goldstein attended the Chouinard Art Institute and the California Institute of Art, receiving an MFA in 1972 under John Baldessari. Goldstein was a multidisciplinary artist working in minimalism, conceptual art, experimental video and audio and painting. He was a key member of the influential Pictures Group in New York, but returned to California in the early 1990s. Jack Goldstein died in San Bernardino, California in 2003.
