Lot description - from the online catalogue*
Both of Isa Smiler's parents died from an illness that was spread from a supply ship when he was just nine years old. This carving of a mother nursing her child, is suggestive to that past experience and mirrors his longing and deep value of family, something that is very much central to Inuit culture.
Most realised prices include the Buyer's Premium of 18-25%, but not the HST/GST Tax.
